Carla Lesko - Founder & Owner

I was an accountant with an untapped creative side. In 2003, in a step that now seems fortuitous, I stepped into the role of CFO and ultimately President of small candle company. Over the years leading that business I developed a passion for candles and a desire to do things differently. I started Dana Elle with a goal of creating and selling extraordinary candles, to customers who value the distinction between a mass produced candle and a truly exquisite one. My candles deliver the ultimate home fragrance experience through the subtly of sophisticated fragrance blends and the glowing color that radiates from glass that is itself a work of art.

What's in a Name?

Dana Elle is named after my four year-old daughter. During our start-up, I realized that developing a brand and raising a child share similarities. You hope to instill certain traits and values in your children that you also tend to express in your brand. Our products are graceful, elegant and creative. Our business is genuine, intelligent and charitable.

Hand-Made in Maine

Maine is my home and my inspiration. I am proud that all of my products are hand-crafted by artisans in Maine. I am also proud to source all of my components in the U.S.; many from Maine.
